On this week’s episode of the Blue Island Radio Podcast, originally recorded as episode 51, Brandon and Tim sit down with one half of the dynamic DJ duo These Old Men They Play Records. They talk about some old Blue Island hangouts, Record Store Day, the legendary south suburban all-ages venue Off The Alley, and a few selections from Mark’s record collection. And as usual, if anyone was offended by this week’s episode please direct all complaints to blueislandradio@gmail.com c/o Tim Sidler. Thank You

Brandon pays tribute to one of his all-time favorite musicians and artistic role models, Fred Cole. There may be another Bono, there may be another Mick Jagger, and hell, there will probably be another Beatles. But there will never be another Fred Cole.

On today’s episode of the Blue Island Radio Podcast Brandon sets up shop at the 75th annual Beverly Art Walk. He talks art with the people, the people being anyone, and I mean anyone, who is willing to talk to him, including his mom. We also hear some music from Chicago bands Los Espejos and Hymen Moments. Thank’s for listening.
