It’s December, which means it’s time for the last episode of the year, which also means it’s time for the reading of the Seinfeld. This year Brandon and his fellow Blue Island Radio Podcast Players sit down and do a table read of the classic Seinfeld episode, “The Big Salad” (Season 6, ep. 2).

Thank you for listening and of course thank you to the cast: Joe Sowinski Lindsay Zamora, Mark Doddato, Buffy Van Huis, John Armentrout, Britta Van Westrienen, and Dave Brown, I couldn’t do it without you. Cheers!

Today’s episode of the show is dedicated to the musical genre known around the world as POLKA! In our hour long musical journey we will hear music from old school Polka legends like Frankie Yankovic to more contemporary greats like The Polkaholics and everything in between; well, maybe not everything, because during this episode, what I’m sure will be just the first installment of the Blue Island Radio Podcast Polka Party, we will focus almost entirely on Polka from Midwest America. If you don’t like Polka then please, come back and listen to a future episode and I’m sure you’ll hear something you like even less. For everyone else, LET’S POLKA!

Today's featured artist is Mr. Iggy Pop whose career spans six decades and counting, and has influenced pretty much every rock band, punk band, and post-punk band that would follow in his wake.

He has released dozens of records over the years, contributed to numerous movie soundtracks, and has appeared in movies and television shows like Cry-Baby, Cigarettes & Coffee, and The Adventures of Pete & Pete. And he's probably the only person on the planet capable of outliving Keith Richards.

“Little” Jerry Williams is an American singer, musician, song writer, and record producer that started his career in 1954 when he was 12 years old. In 1970 he reinvented himself as Swamp Dogg and released (and continues to release) offbeat R&B albums that include Total Destruction to Your Mind, Rat On! and Love, Loss & Auto-Tune. He has been making records for nearly 70s years, has written more than 2,000 songs, helped develop the World Class Wreckin Cru which produced both Dr. Dre and DJ Yella, but is still known mostly as "one of the great cult figures of 20th century American music."

Recorded in the beer garden of The Rock Island Public House in Brandon sits down with local musician Fred Morg. A student of music for most of his life, not to mention a music teacher, Fred has spent more than 30 years playing in bands such as Major Threat, Number Nine, Reflexicon and his longest running project FULL, just to name a few . . . There is also some talk about mustard, his encounters with Greg Ginn and Dan Hampton, and of course, the six string bass. If that's not enough we also, we get a call from Fred's mom!
